Extremely promising
You'll update it weekly so there's something to look out for.
First, you've got the wacky storyline which can go anywhere since it has a simple plot device.(Nothing too complex nothing too bland.) Some effective towers(the ones you can't survive the game without) Butterfree and Beedrill are essential pieces that provide slow, poison, paralysis and all those other status effects that might come in handy in a broader expanded game. It has the basics of a tower defense game. But the problem with having a large universe(pokemon) to explore, you have to start with the basics, not making all the 100+ pokemon as towers just for the fun of it. Also you have to make variety for the towers,for them to not have if not similar traits(say, two pokemon basically having the same skills, just a different sprite). Don't clone towers and aim for how far you can.(though I want to request a survival mode hat has endless waves for a suggestion of an online scoreboard XD)
